To help shape our association’s legislative priorities and strategy in 2025, the Chamber of Cannabis kicked off its first Innovation Lab on July 27th. 

Now that we are halfway through Phase 1, here’s a look at what lies ahead and how member input will be leveraged:

• Phase 1: Input on YOUR Industry (Jul. 27 - Sep. 30)
  The business interests of our members are at the heart of everything we do. As such, member input collected during this phase will lay the foundation for the Chamber’s legislative priorities and strategic approach to the 83rd legislative session. 

• Phase 2: Connecting with YOUR Candidates (Sep. 1 - Nov. 5)
  Chamber staff and volunteers will be contacting and interviewing candidates for local and state offices to identify those that are "cannabis-friendly" based on their non-partisan stances on cannabis policy issues that matter most to our members.

• Phase 3: Prioritizing YOUR Policy Needs (Nov. 6 - Feb. 2)
  After election results are tallied, the Chamber will begin collaborating with newly elected officials and external stakeholders to ensure there are Bill Draft Requests addressing member input. 

• Phase 4: YOUR Legislative Session (Feb. 3 - Jun. 6)
  Drawing upon input received and insights gleaned in earlier phases, the Chamber will create and execute its strategy for the 83rd legislative session.

We're taking big strides in restructuring YOUR Chamber

Our fantastic group of volunteers has completed the evaluation stage and now focuses on wrapping up the changes.The Board starts voting on our suggestions next week, and then we'll begin to put our plans into action.

Prepare for a fresh Chamber experience! We're improving things and zeroing in on what YOU, our members, want and need. You'll notice these improvements starting in October. We're eager to give you more info soon!
